Through the years, as part of the Harnish Auto Family, our company and our employees have supported various community organizations both financially and with personal involvement. We believe in giving back and getting involved with support of initiatives and organizations is intertwined in the culture of the Harnish Family.

All New 2024 Trax Launch Event
Thank you everyone who joined us for our Trax Launch event this August 4th, 2023. We had a barbecue, ice cream cart, giveaways and more! Thank you to Fife RV for bringing out their Forester motorhome and showcasing how the 2024 Trax is flat-towable. Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation
This past May we partnered with the Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation in Gig Harbor, WA for Military Appreciation Month. We donated $2,500 to support their Warrior PATHH programs which help retired military, veterans, and first responders turn their Post Traumatic Stress in to Post Traumatic Growth through hope and healing. We love being able to support amazing organizations like this one who put in hard work to make a difference in the lives of our community.
YMCA Annual Campaign 2023
Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup partnered up with the YMCA Annual Campaign to help support youth sports programs. Thanks to our customers support we were able to donate $2,500 through our Hoops for Hope promotion that will help send kids to camps all summer long!
Harnish Helps At-Risk Teens 2023
This January 2023, Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup, a part of the Harnish Auto Family, partnered with Coffee Oasis to help at-risk teens. Coffee Oasis provides shelter and outreach programs for youth 13-25, and through their coffee shops they’re able to also provide job trainings and mentorship programs. We partnered with them this January and donated one item off their wish-list for each test drive taken and donated $1 per vehicle repaired through the month. Elizabeth Hoey the Community Development Manager of Coffee Oasis said, “We greatly appreciate your generosity and support of our mission. You are making a difference in the lives of youth. Thank you!”
Food Drive November 2022
In November 2022, Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup hosted a food drive for the Puyallup Food Bank. Thanks to customer and employee donations, we ended up donating 4,570 pounds of food! Together with the rest of our Harnish Auto Family stores, we raised over 6.5 tons of food altogether for local food banks. Thank you for helping us give back to the community!
Breast Cancer Check November 2022
In October 2022, Harnish Auto Family donated over $40,000 to the Carol Milgard Breast Center. Leanne Noren their Executive Director said: "I was floating on cloud 9 all day due to the efforts of Harnish Auto Family! We are so grateful to the team for their contribution to the Carol Milgard Breast Center. They did an amazing job coming together to raise a significant amount of money for our financial aid program. Thank you to every employee, every customer, and the leaders of each dealership for your efforts in supporting women in our community!”
School Supplies August 2022
In August 2022, Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup raised money for local schools. For every test drive, we donated $25 through DonorsChoose to local schools up to $1,000. Thank you for test driving so we can help support local school projects that need funding.
Cruise in for Youth
Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup supported the Kiwanis Club of Daffodil Valley’s August “Cruise in for Youth” car show where all the proceeds funded local high school student’s scholarships. We donated 10 car wash buckets for the Kiwanis club to auction off at the event that included a blanket, phone charger and grill accessory. Bill Hilton from the Daffodil Valley said. “We appreciated and valued Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup’s support and we feel that their donations helped with making the event a success, which was greatly appreciated! Thank you for supporting our local youth and we look forward to the 19th Annual ‘Cruise in For Youth’ Car Show!”
Washington National Parks
In June 2022, Harnish Auto Family gave out 10 trips to our Washington National Parks, valued at $500 each. We wanted to support the parks since they had been closed down during COVID and since restrictions were lifting it was the perfect time to give a trip away to customers. Crystal is one of our winners at Chevrolet Buick GMC who said she never gets this lucky and she’s super excited to take her daughter with her on a trip!
Hoops for Hope
In March 2022, Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup raised money for the Mel Korum YMCA youth programs through our program “Hoops for Hope.” Kyle from the YMCA said, “The funds raised through the Hoops for Hope event will allow 45 kids to participate in our Youth Basketball League free of charge, while also supplying much-needed sports equipment for all of our participants. This generosity is truly life-changing for the kids in our programs. Thank you so much and we’re excited to continue to grow this partnership in the future!”
Drive and Dine January 2022
In January 2022, Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup recognized the devastating impact that COVID-19 had to local restaurants and how they were struggling to stay open. Harnish Auto Family responded by purchasing $15,000 worth of gift cards to local restaurants in Puyallup and Everett. Every time a customer came in to take a test drive, we gave them a $25 gift card to a local restaurant and encouraged them to frequent the restaurants. Mariel with Playa Azul said “We can attribute 10 large parties directly to the Drive & Dine Event, Thank you!”

Multicare Breast Cancer Awareness
For the month of October, Harnish Auto Family donated $25 per vehicle sold toward Breast Cancer programs at Multicare Good Samaritan. We are so proud to be able to support our local community and make a difference.
ST. Francis House
Miracle Makers' Breakfast
In October, St. Francis House held their annual Miracle Makers' Breakfast to celebrate their Miracle Maker Society members. Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup was one of the breakfast sponsors.
This holiday season, Chevrolet Buick GMC of Puyallup held a Toy Drive in partnership with St. Francis House. The toys went to children in our community that are in need of assistance. Thanks to customers and staff, we were able to donate all kinds of new toys.
Puyallup Food bank
For the month of November, Chevy Buick GMC of Puyallup raised money for the Puyallup Food Bank. With the help of customers and staff, we were able to donate $2,500!
American Cancer Society
Our team at Chevrolet of Puyallup is blown away by the overwhelming support in helping Chevrolet & the American Cancer Society finish the fight against breast cancer. From sharing personal stories to attending local events, we couldn't have done it without our amazing customers. With your help, we were able to donate a whooping $890 to the American Cancer Society!
Seahawks Tailgate
We love our Seahawks! So the Harnish Auto Family came together before the Super Bowl to host a wonderful Seahawks tailgate! We had food, Seahawks prizes, music, a Seahawks video and more! It was a wonderful time.
42nd military police brigade
Chevrolet of Puyallup is honored to be sponsors for the 42nd Military Police Brigade out of Joint Base Lewis McChord. They created this memorial to honor the fallen heroes in the Middle East.
Joint Base Lewis McChord
Chevrolet of Puyallup sponsored several events on Joint Base Lewis McChord. One of the sponsored events was the pay-per-view UFC fights. At this event we passed out t-shirts, had free oil change drawings along with the opportunity to win cash.
