I dropped off my truck at start of the week as I was leaving for vacation. The shop called me on Monday after initial assessment which indicated the torque converter was causing the shudder in transmission and suggested the transmission would need replaced. They also offered a possible lower cost option to flush the transmission fluid as a potential it could improve. I opted for the full transmission change and it was ready when I returned from vacation at end of week.
